A handmade open edition series for AGO Projects by Federico Stefanovich.
The Folia collection of sculptural lighting fixtures, where craftsmanship meets nature-inspired design. Each piece in this collection is meticulously handcrafted from three primary materials: solid wood, brass, and cast bronze. The inspiration behind this collection originates from the organic and geometrical forms found in biological elements.
Drawing from the intricate formal characteristics of plants, seeds, and mushrooms, each composition is mainly composed of a stem-like bodyor structure that relates to one or several lampshades reminiscent of different shapes of leaves.
FEDERICO STEFANOVICH
Mexican designer, born and raised in Mexico City where his studio is based. His collectible design approach comes after developing himself for half a decade in Esrawe Studio as a furniture and product designer.
Through a sophisticated formal expression and a strong conceptual approach in his projects, he seeks to explore the emotional relationship between the object and the user.
Concepts such as balance and counterpoise are crucial in the design of Federico’s pieces as he looks to communicate a poetic and clever playfulness in his work. Attention to detail, versatility and resourcefulness complemented with marvelous execution of local craftsmen are essential aspects in the development of the pieces in his portfolio.
