Dois Irmãos is a coffee table, sidetable, even a bedside table. Individually, or as a striking pair. Brass and steel contrast with the rustic texture of the Arenito (Brazilian sandstone); delicate when raw, when polished it reveals sedimentation resulting from time. The finished stone reveals variations in natural colour and texture. The top is also available in 2 timber finishes; Louro Preto, a dark tobacco colour and Pau Ferro, a reddish colour with natural woodgrain.

The precise, geometric shape of the frame contrasts with the thickness and irregular finish of the sandstone. The Mobília Puro team personally select the sandstone for each piece, reflecting the individual stone’s texture and grain colour. On client approval prior the stone is honed by local artisans. The use of brass feet creates a small gap for light to pass through, while the reflection onto the stainless steel frame of the surface the table top rests on gives the piece a sense of lightness, as if floating in space. An alternative to stainless steel is a Corten steel with an electrostatic paint finish.
