Zehen means ‘to tiptoe’. The table leaves a graceful impression, like a ballerina, with interlocking metal legs crafted from SUS stainless steal. The table top is from Japanese walnut, finished with oil and beeswax.
The Zehen table is suitable as a dining table or desk. Customisable on request in various sizes, timbers and finishes.
YOSHIYUKI AND JUNKO HORIBE
Husband and wife team Yoshiyuki and Junko Horibe create their beautiful designs in their workshop, a renovated old Japanese house in the Gifu Prefecture of Japan.
Their work redefines time honoured Japanese design, taking traditional timbers and craftsmanship into a fresh new direction, open to the influence of international design. The timber they select not only has unique aesthetic qualities and fragrances but also benefits such as emitting compounds that have a relaxing effect.
They emphasise functionality in their work, carefully selecting and combining finishes and materials to create their designs.
