Named after Alberto Santos-Dumont, a Brazilian pioneer of flight. The Santos Dumont chair looks ready to fly, the wicker seat is a reference to the straw baskets used as seats in early aircraft. The frame pays homage to the fuselage of the Demoiselle, one of the first aircraft built by Santos-Dumont.

Its craftmanship, detailing and comfort are all hallmarks of the Fernando Mendes collection.

Brazilian design royalty; his cousin was Sergio Rodrigues, the ‘father’ of Brazilian design, and Fernando worked closely with Rodrigues for 7 years before starting his own collection.
