Crafted from wood and marble, which together create a stunning contrast in Claudia Moreira Salles’ design. The Reentrância bench is created with simple lines that result in simple elegance.

The legs that are embedded in the seat give name the bench its name; a play on the Portuguese word ‘reentrância’, which means ‘movement, curve or inward angle.

Every tiny detail in each of the designer’s pieces is the result of lots of research during their conception. Her love of wood started early, during her first internship at the Museum of Modern Art, where she created furniture for a school library. 

For several years she designed for Nanni Moveleira, one of the first furniture companies that promoted independent designers in the 1980s. 

The Duetto bench was her first commission and the first of the designer’s creations to be manufactured by ETEL. This partnership, consistent, authentic and infused with great rapport, has lasted for more than 25 years.
