Geometric shapes of circles and rectangles lend an informal appeal; a 50’s feel and a playful and contemporary expression of Brazilian furniture, without compromising on comfort.

The Pedro Chair and Stool include structural elements, the legs and crossbars, that have been reduced in size to make it easier to use smaller pieces of timber. The seat and backrest use assembled panels constructed by gluing together several strips of wood that would have otherwise been discarded.

The craftmanship, detailing and comfort are all hallmarks of the Fernando Mendes collection.

With degrees in Industrial Design and Architecture, his inspirational, contemporary furniture collection exemplifies exquisite craftsmanship and a love of wood.

Brazilian design royalty; his cousin was Sergio Rodrigues, the ‘father’ of Brazilian design, and Fernando worked closely with Rodrigues for 7 years before starting his own collection.
