Launched during SP-Arte 2024, one of Brazil’s most anticipated art fairs, Bittencourt’s Orto chair is a minimalist style offering maximum comfort. The simple and striking design is composed of a series of upright, straight lines supporting a circular seat. Wide but thin wooden frames form the legs and extend to create the backrest, pierced by a cylinder that serves to provide further support to the back.

Elegant and customisable, crafted from solid wood and high quality materials. The backrest and seat can be made in fabric, bouclé, or leather, allowing you to choose the finish that best suits and guaranteeing a unique piece for your space.

GUSTAVO BITTENCOURT

Gustavo Bittencourt. Born in Rio. Studied in Italy. Worked in LA and with iconic Brazilian designers Zanini de Zanine, Marcelo Rosenbaum and Rodrigo Calixto. In 2013 he created Atelier Gustavo Bittencourt. His vision can be summed up in 3 key convictions; appreciation for the quality of the material, the inherent value of objects that are handmade and the timelessness of each design. Our focus is on the diversity of materials, fittings, textures and processes.

"I believe that we all have a look, a point of view about what we see, we are all unique. My furniture is my interpretation of shapes, materials and their interactions. An expression of how I transform my references and passions into what I believe.”
