One of the most influential architects of the twentieth century, Richard J. Neutra helped define modernism around the world and in particular Southern California. Iconic works include the famous Lovell House (1929) and Kaufmann House (above, 1948), which was captured on film by photographic greats Julius Shulman and Slim Aarons.

Neutra viewed furniture as an integral part of his projects, designing pieces throughout his career. This collection of original Neutra furniture, including designs that existed only in sketches, is now being produced by experienced craftsmen using high-quality, natural materials in partnership with German furniture manufacturer VS and Neutra’s son, Dion Neutra. Handmade to order in Germany, they’re original licensed products of the Neutra Institute. neutra.vs.de
