Fasanello’s Kudasay armchair and matching ottoman was Fasanello’s last masterpiece. The gererous proportions and comfort was inspired by Japanese culture in Brazil (the largest Japanese heritage population outside of Japan). The name coming from the Japanese ‘Kudasai’ meaning ‘to please’.
Kudasay features a volumous U-shaped seat cupping a circular backrest, that can be rotated and reclined for maximim relaxation and pleausre.
The Atelier Ricardo Fasanello collection is handmade to order and has been in continuous production since the 1960s.
RICARDO FASANELLO
1930-1993
Born in São Paulo in 1930 demonstrate talent from an early age, designing and building sailboats, lofts and his life passion, building race cars.
His career was catapulted onto the international scene in 1968, with the debut of the Fardos chair, a daring ergonomics meets avant-gardist vision. Fasanello’s free-spirited imagination was boosted by his genuinely artisanal creative process, constantly experimentingwith materials and forms and testing new ways of doing things.
