The little brother of the M10, 15% smaller in size, with four arms of equal length that are perpendicular to each other, suitable as a side, or coffee, table.

Between 1978 and 1981 Tecta worked closely with Erich Brendel on a faithful re-issue of the M10. Brendel was so happy with the result that he requested the K10 side table be re-issued as well.

The cube structures that characterised Walter Gropius’ director’s room served as a source of inspiration for a generation of young designers.

ERICH BRENDEL

1898 - 1987

From 1921 to 1926 Brendel studied at Bauhaus Weimar. His talent led him to be one of the few allowed to work in Walter Gropius’ architectural practice, where he designed, in conjunction with Alma Buscher, the nursery of the Bauhaus Werkschau (Work Show) exhibition which ran from July to September 1923. It was the first building based on Bauhaus design principles.

Between 1978 and 1981 Tecta worked intensively with Erich Brendel on a faithful reproduction of the M10 which is faithfully re-issued under licence and in series and bears the original Bauhaus label designed by Oskar Schlemmer.
