Fasanello’s 1980’s edit of his Gaivota armchair. An evolution of the 1960s design, simplied base and upholstery, on a swivel base; without the polyester resin outer finish and slightly different proportions.
Named after a seagull the Gaivota armchair features a U-shaped upholstered, swivel-able seat. The bold lines blend Brazilian aesthetics with cool sophistication. With a sculptural, almost floating shape, the piece captures elegance and movement.
The Atelier Ricardo Fasanello collection is handmade to order and has been in continuous production since the 1960s.
RICARDO FASANELLO
1930-1993

His career was catapulted onto the international scene in 1968, with the debut of the Fardos chair, a daring ergonomics meets avant-gardist vision.
