Perhaps Ricardo Fasanello’s most audacious, unconventional and innovative design, Fardos is an example of daring ergonomics meeting avant-garde vision.

The Fardos armchair was his first international success, receiving international acclaim at the 1968 Paris and Berlin Equipment Expositions. Available as an armchair and 2, 3 and 4 seat sofa. Fasanello’s Fardos is a lounge chair consisting of three large rolled forms connected by leather straps and a metal frame.

The Atelier Ricardo Fasanello collection is handmade to order and has been in continuous production since the 1960s.

RICARDO FASANELLO

1930-1993

Born in São Paulo in 1930 demonstrate talent from an early age, designing and building sailboats, lofts and his life passion, building race cars.

His career was catapulted onto the international scene in 1968, with the debut of the Fardos chair, a daring ergonomics meets avant-gardist vision. Fasanello’s free-spirited imagination was boosted by his genuinely artisanal creative process, constantly experimentingwith materials and forms and testing new ways of doing things.
