The F51 armchair was designed in 1920 by Walter Gropius for his office in the Bauhaus Weimar. Combining voluminous upholstery with a support structure where the armrests protrude freely and the back of the chair does not reach the ground.
To celebrate the 100th birthday of Bauhaus, Katrin Greiling was commissioned to design a re-edition, the F51N, utilising an invigorating pallete of contemporary colours, textures and the Kvadrat / Raf Simons fabric collection to refresh this true Bauhaus icon.
Handmade to order in Germany. Accredited by the Bauhaus Archives in Berlin.
