The ETEL collection comprises over one century of Brazilian furniture design. Bringing back to life important creations by some of Brazil’s most iconic designers while also launching new talent. Each piece in the collection is handmade to order, with an embedded seal certifying the authenticity. Characterised by skilful handiwork and the use of exquisite eco-friendly materials, the collection has been created by architects and artists intent on celebrating the local culture, under the influence of the international avant-garde.
The philosophy behind the craftmanship of an ETEL piece is based on embracing not just the uniqueness of the design, but also the individuality of each item of furniture. From the wood grain pattern to the cut and polishing, each piece is thought of as an original creation, with its own personality and DNA. ETEL follows strict methodology, faithfulness to the originals, and intensive collaboration with the institutes and families that represent each creator’s oeuvre. The collection includes pieces by Oscar Niemeyer, Lina Bo Bardi, Jorge Zalszupin and Giuseppe Scapinelli, among others. The modern legacy continues with remarkable contemporary creators such as Arthur Casas, Claudia Moreira Salles, Etel Carmona and Lia Siqueira. etel.design
