The elegant Cosme Velho armchair features a wooden frame crafted from native Brazilian woods. The eye-catching Indian cane woven backrest and arms has a delicate orthogonal pattern that sits flush with the inside and outside of the arms and back.

The transparency of the cane brings lightness to the solid cube like wooden frame.

Every tiny detail in each of the designer’s pieces is the result of lots of research during their conception. Her love of wood started early, during her first internship at the Museum of Modern Art, where she created furniture for a school library. 

For several years she designed for Nanni Moveleira, one of the first furniture companies that promoted independent designers in the 1980s. 

The Duetto bench was her first commission and the first of the designer’s creations to be manufactured by ETEL. This partnership, consistent, authentic and infused with great rapport, has lasted for more than 25 years.
