The result of innovative research in materials and high craftsmanship. Patricia Urquiola’s bold designs are accentuated by ETEL’s FSC certified Amazonian wood to showcase this precious material, combined with what was once waste and leftover material. The top trays are exclusively developed by ETEL using natural resin and leftover wood chips from production, resulting in a sensitive tactile material. The smooth rounding of the timber showcases the quality of the wood used.

PATRICIA URQUIOLA

Originally from Oviedo, Spain, Patricia Urquiola studied architecture and design at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and completed her studies at the Politecnico di Milano where she graduated under the mentorship of Achille Castiglioni. Her career highlights include Assistant lecturer to Achille Castiglioni and Eugenio Bettinelli in Milan and Paris, responsible for the new product development office of De Padova, working with Vico Magistretti, head of Lissoni Associati’s design group.
