The Cantante Lamp series by Claudia Moreira Salles epitomises the ETEL collection's philosophy of skilful handiwork and the use of exquisite eco-friendly materials. Carved from a single piece of Cumaru wood, the light is directed into the wooden bowl to highlight the beauty of the veins and reveal the special material and its features, which vary from piece to piece. The Cantante Lamp comes in three versions: floor, table, or wall sconce.

CLAUDIA MOREIRA SALLES

Every tiny detail in each of the designer’s pieces is the result of lots of research during their conception. Her love of wood started early, during her first internship at the Museum of Modern Art, where she created furniture for a school library. 

For several years she designed for Nanni Moveleira, one of the first furniture companies that promoted independent designers in the 1980s. 

The Duetto bench was her first commission and the first of the designer’s creations to be manufactured by ETEL. This partnership, consistent, authentic and infused with great rapport, has lasted for more than 25 years.
