Winner of the Museu da Casa Brasileira award, the ‘Aviator’ armchair is one of Fernando’s most well-known and famous pieces. The frame is crafted from solid wood and the seat made of natural leather.

The armchair features a propeller-shaped foot design connected by rod-shaped metal straps to the arms, which resemble the shape of wings. Its exquisite craftmanship, detailing and comfort are all hallmarks of the Fernando Mendes collection.

Brazilian design royalty; his cousin was Sergio Rodrigues, the ‘father’ of Brazilian design, and Fernando worked closely with Rodrigues for 7 years before starting his own collection.
